If you're consistently falling asleep during meditation, you might be sleep deprived, and your body is trying to make up for the lack of rest. This is 100% normal and OK. And in fact, until your body recoups the restful sleep it needs, you can actually view this as a sign of success!
When you do fall asleep while meditating, see if you can wake up slowly and with kindness. This will help you move forward in a state of relaxation instead of being hard on yourself for falling asleep or viewing your meditation as a waste. Because remember, the only time we waste in meditation is the time we spend judging ourselves or our experience.
Over time as you become more rested, you’ll find it easier to stay awake during meditation.
